Business Career
Bob’s business career has followed an upward trajectory where he has worked for some of the largest, most competitive Crop & Non-Crop protection companies in the world and some of the smartest, innovative leaders in the industry.
In 1986, after obtaining his masters in business and still progressing on his Doctorate, Bob was hired by Schering AG in Berlin, Germany where he was one of two selected upper management trainees in a high potential program. Within two years he became an area manager with P&L responsibilities for all direct business in France.
Bob worded at Schering for eleven years and was promoted almost every two years. At Schering he worked in Ireland, France, Belgium, Scandinavia and Finland as a General Manager, Region Europe Project Manager, Managing Director, and Corporate Development on Global R&D—always with outstanding results.
In 1999, Bob became the President and on the Board of Directors for Aventis Environmental Science USA and Canada. This was followed by a role as President and General Manager for Bayer Advanced North America. In 2004, Bob became the North American Director for FMC in the AG Business Group.

Bob currently serves as the COO and EVP of AMVAC Chemical Corporation. AMVAC is the primary subsidiary of Vanguard Corporation, honored as one of Fortune’s 100 fastest growing companies in 2013. In his position, Bob’s focus is on growing the business across multiple product lines and geographies, achieving greater profitability and establishing a pipeline of future opportunities through innovation and strategic relationships. He oversees sales, marketing, and business growth world-wide.
